Elvin
and Ruby Faubus were the brother and sister-in-law of Arkansas Governor
Orval E. Faubus. Elvin Carl Faubus was born in Combs, Arkansas (Madison
County), on August 15, 1913. He married Ruby Casteel on October 2,
1935. He later moved to Fayetteville where he served on the Arkansas
Commerce Commission. He died April 13, 1983. Ruby Casteel Faubus was
born in St. Paul, Arkansas (Madison County), on July 7, 1915. She died
in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 4, 1984.
